Mazda updated the popular CX-5


Mazda, renowned for its quality, has given one of its most popular models, the CX-5 urban SUV, a comprehensive upgrade. The CX-5 accounts for more than one-fifth of Mazda’s total sales in Europe this year. This fully upgraded urban SUV will be available in early 2022, boasting a more elegant, spacious, and dynamic design.

The new CX-5 is built on Mazda’s next-generation SKYACTIV-Vehicle Architecture. This architecture optimizes the body structure and chassis, and redesigns the seating layout. These improvements ensure ride comfort and effectively reduce passenger fatigue. Furthermore, the upgraded Mazda SUV will also feature significantly reduced interior noise levels, especially on rough roads such as rural highways.

In the Mazda CX-5 Newground trim, the car will be distinguished by silver front and rear bumpers and door cladding, black side mirror caps, bright green front grille accents and 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior is finished with suede upholstery with bright green stitching, as well as air conditioning grilles of the same color.

With the Blackout Plus trim level selected, the Mazda CX-5 will feature a gloss black front grille, lower bumper trim, wheel arches, door trim and side mirrors to emphasize the vehicle’s expressive and sporty style. Models in this trim level will feature gloss black 19-inch alloy wheels and red accents on the front grille. Inside there are black leather seats with red stitching, a steering wheel, gear lever tip and door panels.

Exclusive trim cars feature solid, monochromatic exterior styling that emphasizes dynamic body shapes inspired by Kodo design. The 19-inch shiny silver alloy wheels add solidity to the car’s appearance. For the interior decoration, soft Nappa leather and luxurious natural wood elements were chosen.

More safety

The updated Mazda CX-5 model, which will appear on the European market in early 2022, is equipped with the Mazda Intelligent Drive (Mi-Drive) system, which allows you to choose different driving modes based on needs and traffic conditions. This can be done very easily, with just one click of a button.

The updated model is also offered with the i-Activ all-wheel drive system. This allows you to set the off-road mode (Off-Road) and feel more confident when driving on an uneven and slippery surface.

A convenient innovation for smartphone users, as the updated CX-5 is equipped with a Qi wireless phone charger.

To ensure more convenient storage of objects in the trunk, Mazda has decided to keep the mat on both sides and not change the position of the trunk doors. Newground trim models also feature a trunk mat with a water-resistant coating for transporting wet or dirty items.

The updated i-Activsense safety system package for the CX-5 model includes the Cruise & Traffic Support (CTS) auxiliary system. When driving in traffic jams, this system helps to regulate the speed and direction of travel of the car, thus ensuring less driver fatigue.

Additionally, the SUV features updated Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH) that distribute light better.

Successful updates and improvements led to the CX-5 becoming the manufacturer’s flagship model, accounting for 21% of sales. the company’s annual sales turnover in Europe.
