Check RCA – validity. Ways to Check RCA car insurance.

Car insurance check – online: To find out if a car has a valid RCA policy and to see which insurer you need to go to the AIDA website. This is the database made available by the Romanian Motor Insurers Office, which allows you to carry out a car insurance check that you can have full confidence in.

At the same time, the online verification of the RCA policy gives you the opportunity to demonstrate at any time that you have a valid policy, even if you do not have the document in physical or electronic format.

RCA check – In the RCA policy: If you have the RCA policy at hand you can check the validity of the car insurance directly at point 4 of the same. It is important to note that the validity of the policy is included in the day indicated as the expiry date. For example, in the following image, the policy is valid until 12.11.2025 (inclusive).

RCA Verification – How to correctly carry out an online RCA verification

Data entry:

To start, enter the license plate or chassis series of the car for which you want to do the online RCA check

2. Choice of date and acceptance of the privacy policy:

Choose the date on which you want to check the validity of the RCA insurance. Accept the Privacy Policy relating to personal data of the AIDA website, then click on the “Search” button.

3. Viewing the result

Get the result immediately. There are two variants:

• The vehicle has valid insurance.

• The vehicle does not have valid insurance.

In our example the car has a RCA policy valid on the selected date (11.06.2025).

4. Insurer verification:

You will also receive and be able to verify the insurer with which the car has a valid RCA policy. I notice that the car I checked has valid car insurance with the insurer Allianz Tiriac.

My RCA policy is not valid on the AIDA website. what should I do

If you have a RCA policy which, according to the data entered on it, is valid, but is not yet shown in the search on the AIDA website, it is very likely that it has not yet been reported by the insurer in the database. The reporting process can take up to 5 working days.

1. Are you within the 5 working day deadline?

If you are in this range, you don’t need to worry. The policy may still be in the process of being developed.

2. What to do if the 5 day deadline has passed?

If the deadline of 5 working days has been exceeded, it is recommended to:

• Contact the insurer directly to confirm the validity of the policy.

• Ask the insurer to add the policy to the AIDA database.

This will ensure that the information in the system is updated correctly.
