The first electric minibus “Citroën ë-Jumpy” makes its debut.

The new ë-Jumpy offers the same advantages as cars with an internal combustion engine: compact dimensions, internal ergonomics and conversion possibilities, large storage space and optimal load capacity. Many versions of the ë-Jumpy are up to 1.9 m tall, which ensures that the car can fit into underground car parks, shopping centers and other places.

The electric minibus has a load capacity of 1,275 kg and a towing capacity of up to 1 ton. The useful capacity of the electric model does not differ from the versions with petrol engine: from 4.6 m³ (XS version without Moduwork) to 6.6 m³ (XL version with Moduwork). This is the best capacity performance in the segment. The width between the wheel arches is 1.25 m, enough to fit a Europallet.

Practicality of the electric motor

The first electric minibus “Citroën ë-Jumpy” makes its debut.

The electric version of Jumpy is offered with two types of batteries, which are given a life of 8 years or 160 thousand hours. warranty km. A car with a 50 kWh battery can travel up to 230 km on a single charge in the WLTP cycle (it is installed in XS, M and XL bodies), and 75 kWh – up to 330 km. This battery is installed in the M and XL bodies. The electric motor works according to the driving conditions and the selected driving mode, and also saves the energy generated during deceleration or braking. The engine power is 100 kW (136 hp), reaches a torque of 260 Nm. This allows the car to accelerate up to 130 km/h.

ë-Jumpy has 3 driving modes: Normal optimizes range and performance, Eco optimizes energy consumption and Power offers maximum performance in a charged car, similar to Normal mode in an unloaded minivan.

The ë-Jumpy can be charged at rates of up to 100 kW, allowing the 75 kWh battery to charge up to 80%. capacity can be filled in 45 minutes and 50 kWh in 30 minutes. Such fast charging sets the ë-Jumpy model apart from the rest of the segment.

The suspension ensures comfort

The front suspension uses reinforced “Pseudo MacPherson” arms with anti-roll bar, which ensures precise driving characteristics and high comfort. The durable independent rear suspension ensures a high maximum load of 1,275 kg. For maximum comfort, ë-Jumpy is equipped with variable stiffness springs and load-dependent shock absorbers, a passive system that ensures comfortable damping regardless of the car’s load.

The heating and ventilation systems can be controlled even when you are not in the car. The interior temperature of the minibus can be set by pre-setting the My Citroën app (will be delivered to Lithuania soon) or the car’s touchscreen using the Connect Nav service.

The interior has a capacity of 100 litres

The functionality of the interior adapts to different needs. Between the driver and passenger seats there is a net for storing various items, the glove compartment is equipped with AUX, 12 V and USB sockets (depending on the version), cup holders and under the passenger seat there is an additional spacious compartment. In total, the ë-Jumpy’s cabin features storage compartments with a total capacity of almost 100 litres.

The ë-Jumpy offers 3 front seats. With Moduwork it is possible to raise the external passenger seat, thus freeing up space in the cabin, which is at the same level as the load compartment floor, increasing the useful length of the load compartment by over one meter, up to 4 m. Moduwork also allows you to transform the living room into a modern office: the central armrest can become a table for computers or documents.

As an option, you can order a holder mounted on top of the center console, which can accommodate tablets with a diagonal of up to 11 inches. A smartphone holder can be installed in the driver’s cup holder and a charging socket is also integrated. ë-Jumpy includes Mirror Screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications, which transform the car’s 7-inch screen into a smartphone.

Useful driving assistants

ë-Jumpy has 15 useful driving assistants tailored to different customers. Absolutely unique in the segment is the keyless side door opening system: a person with the key in their pocket just needs to put their foot under the corner of the rear bumper to automatically open the side doors on that side. The same movement closes the door and when the person with the key moves away from the car, it automatically locks.

Other systems unique to this segment and fitted to the ë-Jumpy include keyless entry and starting of the car and a projection screen on the windshield that displays key travel information.

The minibus is also equipped with the “Active Safety Brake” emergency braking system, hill start assistant, driver fatigue monitoring, collision warning systems, 360-degree Top Rear Vision camera projecting a view from above, intelligent control of low and high beams, “Grip Control” overtaking system, speed limit recognition system with speed recommendation, speed limiter with cruise control, invisible zone monitoring system.

“Citroën ë-Jumpy” will arrive in Lithuanian showrooms in the second half of 2020. side The fully electric Jumper will be introduced at the end of the year, and in 2021. – the electric Berlingo Van. This will allow Citroën to offer a range of commercial vehicles in 2021, each model of which will have efficient internal combustion and electric engines.
