The new Range Rover: connectivity, comfort and luxury at every corner

The Range Rover family has a rich tradition of innovation spanning more than five decades. The new Range Rover continued this tradition: in a refined model, a number of technologies were applied that increase the economy, safety and comfort of the car. Seamlessly integrates advanced and easy-to-use features for modern luxury.

“The new Range Rover is the most advanced model Land Rover has ever produced. It features a wealth of technology designed to enhance every aspect of our luxury SUV. The connectivity options of the new Range Rover will allow you to experience the best emotions and advanced assistants will help the driver in every corner,” emphasizes Justė Jarušė, head of Jaguar Land Rover for the Baltics.

The intuitive PiVi Pro infotainment system

Land Rover’s award-winning PiVi Pro infotainment system is offered on the new Range Rover with its largest touchscreen ever. The elegantly designed 13.1-inch curved screen fits perfectly inside the cabin. It will delight the driver with intuitive control of all the most important functions of the car – it was created using the latest technologies. They make driving a car similar to using a smartphone.

For the first time in Land Rover’s history, the central multimedia display will have a haptic response when the user clicks on the touch-sensitive surface. It will increase the safety of the new Range Rover, give PiVi Pro intuitiveness and allow drivers to understand that the car’s system has responded to their wishes. All this without taking your eyes off the road.

The screen of the infotainment system, configurable according to needs and habits, allows access to 90% of all necessary functions with just two clicks, and the gestures that have become common when using a smartphone, which will also work on this screen, will make it easier to navigate through the car’s menu options.

The advanced system uses two integrated eSIM cards to update the model’s software remotely much faster and without any internet interference needed to run other apps.

Seamless smartphone integration

In the new Range Rover you can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications wirelessly, without additional cables. Both of these systems are activated when the smartphone is charged via the new Range Rover’s 15W wireless charging system.

The smartphone charging area in the center console is spacious enough to accommodate even the largest devices and can charge any phone that supports the Qi wireless charging standard. The built-in signal amplifier ensures unparalleled call quality and the charging area is equipped with an active cooling system that protects your devices from overheating.

Connectivity options can be used by every passenger in the car, with charging points located next to each seat – the Range Rover has up to eight USB-C charging ports. Additionally, passengers sitting in the second row of seats are given the option of using a 60W USB-C charging port, which also allows you to charge a laptop battery. Up to eight devices can use wireless Internet access in the car at the same time.

Digital LED lights with video projections

The new Range Rover can surprise you with its lighting capabilities: powerful digital LED lights are installed here, the light beam of which illuminates the road at a distance of up to 500 meters. The headlights are a signature design detail of this model, while distinctive daytime running lights, animated turn signals, adaptive headlights and video projection technology help create the overall look.

All this makes the lights installed on the new SUV the most advanced lighting devices ever installed on a Land Rover model.

Dynamic light projection technology is installed in the adaptive front lighting system, which helps to optimize the emitted light beam, shape it and precisely adapt it to driving conditions, such as car speed, environment, traffic situation.

Each lantern contains 1.2 million individually controllable digital micromirrors (DMDs), providing more light control than ever before. This allows the intelligent high beam control system to form up to 16 different shadows, protecting other road users from glare on the road. Advanced technology helps to precisely direct the light beam away from other objects on the road and always ensure the brightest illumination.

Data from the eHorizon navigation system used by the intelligent lighting system helps determine road terrain, turns and upcoming intersections. This data is combined with information from the vehicle’s speed, inclination and steering wheel sensors to select the most appropriate options – from “Country”, “City”, “Highway” to “Bad Weather” – and adjust the light beam accordingly.

Remote parking assistant

The new Range Rover takes care of the driver like never before: the remote parking assistance system takes convenience to a new level. It allows the luxury SUV to enter and exit a parking space while the driver watches the action from the vehicle. This is especially useful when you need to use tight parking spaces in the city or pass through narrow gates.

Drivers can activate this feature in the PiVi Pro system and specify which of the available parking spaces to use. Narrow spaces that can only be entered with the help of the remote parking assistant are identified, then the driver can get out of the car and complete the maneuver via the app. This system is designed to work when the driver is no more than three meters away from the car.

This assistant integrates the latest generation parking assistance system. It can help you automatically park your vehicle in parallel and perpendicular parking spaces.

More intuitive than ever, the system uses 12 ultrasonic sensors and four Surround View cameras to find suitable parking spaces even at speeds of up to 30 km/h. speed Suitable parking spaces are indicated on the central touch screen and the driver only has to choose where to leave the car.

The rear collision prevention system (Rear Collision Monitor) together with the passenger protection assistant was created by adapting existing safety technologies. These systems use front and rear radars installed in the corners of the car, which can detect the risk of collision up to 70 meters away from the vehicle and alert the occupants before preparing the car to avoid a collision.

The driving assistant package includes adaptive cruise control along with driving assistant, a system for monitoring the driver’s condition, blind spot and traffic monitoring systems behind the car, which are already installed in the model with standard equipment.

The driver monitoring system can stop the new Range Rover if the driver fails to respond to a series of visual and audible warnings. The intelligent technology detects whether the driver’s hands are on the steering wheel and keeps the car in the lane until it comes to a complete stop.

The premiere of the new Land Rover Range Rover in the Baltics is scheduled for January 2022.
